KOTA KINABALU: Upko president, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok yesterday thanked voters for supporting candidates of Barisan Nasional (BN) particularly Upko last Saturday.

All Upko candidates, with four contesting in parliamentary areas and six in state seats, won on polling day including Kuala Penyu that had been won by independent candidate, Datuk John Ghani in the general election of 2004. Dompok himself, won the Penampang parliament with a majority of 3,063 votes after beating independent candidate Dr Anthony Tibok, Pasok’s Willyboard Missi and Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s Dr Edwin @ Jack Bosi.
