PENAMPANG
: The Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and
Industry Sabah (KCCI) can now give their best
service to their members with a building that
can call its own.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan
Sri Bernard Dompok when opening the building at
New World Commercial Center in Donggongon
yesterday said that the premise could
accommodate the needs of KCCI
in helping the community venturing into
business.
“I
see the beginning of the Kadazandusun Murut
community venturing into the business world and
I hope each of you will find success in your
business,” he said.
Dompok said former Prime Minister Tun Dr
Mahathir Mohamad ever said that the time had
come for Bumiputeras to go on the other side of
the counter.
“It
means that when last time we were the one who
pay, but now it is time that we receive
payment,” said the Penampang candidate and Upko
president.
“By
having KCCI, the
members could not only interact among each other
but also with other associations. Doing business
is just like politics where we need to be
accessible. We have assistance and environment
created from the government,” he added.
The
KCCI is an
organization to promote and enhance the
participation of Kadazandusuns in commercial and
industrial sectors.
It
was registered with the Registrar of Society on
Feb 15, 1996. Among the objectives of
KCCI is to unite the
Kadazandusun businessman, entrepreneurs and
professionals for the economic benefit and
interest of the Kadazandusun people.
The
other objective is to establish business
organization and enterprises for the benefit of
the Kadazandusun people in both sectors.
The
KCCI vision is to
contribute towards the achievement of Vision
2020 especially to face the strategic challenges
of Vision 2020 which is the establishment of
bumiputera commercial and industrial community.
Also
