KOTA KINABALU:
The "House of Prayers Attacked by Extremists"
Fund by the UPKO Youth Movement has raised more
than RM200,000 with three days of its launch.

Chief Ewon Benedict said more are coming from
the movement's branches and divisions.
The Fund was
launched damaged by fire bombing and vandalism
following that fall-out over the Allah issue.
Eight church,
seven in West Malaysia and one in Miri were
pelted with Molotov cocktails, splashed with
black paint and had windows smashed with stones.
On other
development, Ewon said some of the donors have
expressed hop that funds raised from the
exercise would be channelled to some of the
church in Sabah.
He said due to
the encouraging response, Komulakan is
considering extending the campaign to Jan. 18 as
many of its members including churchgeoers will
give their donations after Sunday mass.
The Prime
Minister started the ball rolling when he
announced RM500,000 towards the rebuilding of
the Metro Tabernacle Church. CIMB aslo donated
RM100,000 to the damaged church.
